MOD Vehicle Fleet Control Centre

Project Allenby/Connaught is the largest infrastructure PFI ever let by the Ministry of Defence and has one simple mission - to make life better for some 18,700 soldiers (nearly 20% of the British Army) within Army Garrisons across Salisbury Plain and Aldershot.

As a world-class company, Babcock provides unique skills set to support MoD's vehicle fleet requirements around the world and is the largest supplier of vehicle management and support solutions to the British Armed Forces, including full transport management service for Project Allenby/Connaught.

Following a rigorous, procurement process Logical Transport's LT Enterprise II passenger transport, asset scheduling and tracking solution was chosen to provide the technology for Project Allenby/Connaught; supporting highly complex mixed service, secure, mission critical transport requirements from a purpose built control centre at Tidworth, Wiltshire.

28,000 Driven tasks a year

Within Allenby/Connaught and through LT Enterprise II, Babcock provide over 28,000 driven tasks a year and over 43,000 self drive tasks for the MOD, drawing from both White Fleet assets and short term hirers. In addition, the Babcock operated workshops at Aldershot and Warminster, complete over 2,500 maintenance events a year and still achieves an average daily vehicle availability to the customer of over 92%.

For Project Allenby/Connaught Babcock required an established world-class system that was capable of managing, tracking and reporting on a diverse range of ground transportation assets and passenger transport requirements to enhance capability in support of Army operations, these demanding mission critical requirements made Logical Transport the natural partner of choice.
